Rent Topeka Homes is happy to rent to residents who have animals. Please review the current fees, deposits, and restrictions before applying.
Animal Fees & Deposit
These charges apply when an animal is approved for a Rent Topeka Homes rental property.
Rent Topeka Homes, Inc. understands that your animals are family too. We are happy to rent to residents who have animals.
$35
per month, per animal
$250
non-refundable animal deposit
Important: Some restrictions are imposed by insurance requirements. If your animal meets one of these restrictions, it may not be allowed at the home.
Animal Restrictions
Please contact us before applying if you have questions about a specific animal or breed.
Insurance-Required Animal Restrictions
The following restrictions are imposed on us by our insurance company and if your animal meets one of these restrictions we cannot allow you to bring them to your home.
Dangerous or Aggressive dogs means:
- Any dog with a known propensity, tendency or disposition to attack without provocation, to cause injury or to otherwise endanger the safety of human beings or domestic animals.
- Any dog which has engaged in, is intended to engage in, or has been trained to engage in, dog fighting.
- Any dog that has killed or caused injury to any person, or has killed another dog.

Any dog that belongs to a breed that is commonly known as Akita, Boxer, Great Dane, Pit Bull, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull, Chow, Rottweiler, Doberman, Siberian Husky, Malamute, Presa Canario, Mastiff, Dingo, Wolf, Wolf-hybrid, or German Shepard, and any canine that is a mix of any of these named breeds and any other breed or breeds.

If you are claiming your animal is a support dog it must meet the qualifications as set forth in the Kansas Statute. K.S.A. 39-1111. Procedure for verification of person's right to be accompanied by assistance dog or professional therapy dog.
